Quotes

Henri MOSER – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 1st: “I had a pretty good start. I started 6th, and after few laps I was 3rd. The two cars in front of me were going incredibly fast. Frederic Makowiecki in the Hexis Aston Martin was in another world, one second faster than me every lap. I tried to catch Ben Collins’ Ascari, but the pace was too fast, so I decided to keep a good rhythm in order to preserve the car for Gilles. So Gilles had a good car for the end of the race, and he did well as we won again. It is a perfect week-end! We had a lot of work to do, for example our car’s performance was going down at the end of the race, so we had to work on the consistency of our Ferrari, in order to try to keep the Lambo behind us.”

Gilles VANNELET – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 1st: “Luckily, we did not have another lap; otherwise both Lamborghinis would have passed me! The car was not consistent at all, and I had a bad rhythm. At the end I pushed really hard in order to keep my position. I did not want to lose that race!”

Jaromir JIRIK – nr 15 S-Berg Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, 2nd,  1st Lamborghini: “I decided to start the race carefully, in order to keep a good car for Erik. He was quicker than me, so I came back early to the pits, like that Erik had a long stint. It was hard to keep my position during my stint, we were fighting with a lot of cars. The car is really good, thanks to the incredible job of our team, S-Berg Racing.”

Erik JANIS – nr 15 S-Berg Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, 2nd,  1st Lamborghini: “It was an incredible week-end for me. We were fast in Friday’s free practice, also during the qualifying session, and we really wanted to get a good result. The car was perfect during the entire week-end. It is my first time on this track, I like it very much, and I’ve managed to learn the track quickly and go fast straight away here. During the first race, we were unlucky. We chose a bad strategy, we came too late to the pits. Today it was better. This is the best race in my career, I gave all that I have! We have to work to improve the car in order to be able to beat the Ferrari. We will try, we are motivated. I’m looking forward to Bucharest!”

Diego ALESSI – nr 23 BMS Scuderia Italia Aston Martin DBRS9, 4th,  1st Aston Martin: “The start was OK, Alex kept our position and started a safe stint. He did a good job, and he was 8th when he went back to pits. Then I’ll do my best… If we had started higher we may have finished third or second. We did our best today, but we are a little bit disappointed because to be honest we expected to win here, but we were not quick enough. We will work in order to win very soon. Bucharest is going to be another story. Nobody has raced there before, so anything is possible over there.”

Richard Williams – nr 5 Trackspeed Racing Porsche 997 GT3 Cup,  1st Porsche: “It is not a good week-end for us. We never found a good set-up, the car was not perfect and we had to fight a lot in order to go fast. Anyway we were not fast enough to fight for the first position, we did what we could here. We have to work in order to improve our performances. In Bucharest all could be different. We will work hard to come back on top.”
